What is considered M.A.C. anesthesia?

I hope it doesn't include that horrible amnesiac Versed/Midazolam.What is considered M.A.C. anesthesia?
MAC = Monitored Anesthesia Care ( care by an anesthesiologist ). It may include drugs, it may include oxygen, it may only include monitoring and nothing more. Depends what the operative case calls for.





Midazolam is one drug that can be utilized, but doesnt have to be.


Typical drugs used include drugs from the pharmacological classes of benzodiazepines, barbiturates, narcotics, and propofol.What is considered M.A.C. anesthesia?
How do you know about Versed/Midazolam? If you know what these are you probably already know what a M.A.C. is.....
