Foundation: I like the Studio Fix Powder plus foundation (great if you need a lot of coverage). Its a cream to powder foundation. I also like Studio sculpt foundation with spf 15. Its medium coverage and I like it just as much as the studio fix.
Powder: I always buy the Select Sheer loose powder but it comes pressed too. I dont always buy my powder from MAC and you might want to think before you buy it because there are plenty of drugstore brands that measure up to MACs (just sayin) The powder that I do always buy from MAC is the Mineralized Skin Finish love love LOVE it and Im sure you will too. Check it out.
Eyeshadow is all on you babe. MAC has the best eyeshadows Ive ever tried but only you know what colors you like to wear. Good nuetral colors include: Smoke and Diamonds, Style Snob, Mulch, really there are too many for me to name. Youll get to see all the colors when you go.

the best mac products i think are their eye shadows, mascara (this is good but cover girl lash blast works about the same), eyeliner and studio fix concealer. i haven't tried this but a lot of people love the mineralize skin finish too. foundation is something you can skip if you have acne prone skin. :)

they have the best eye shadow there's soooo many gorgeous colors and such, they also have great cream blush that looks soooo good on, i wasnt a huge fan of their foundation, i thought it was too light but if you like light go for it.

alright, for eyeshadow, you have, IMO, two ways to go...first there's the simple eyeshadows...if you want the 'refill' ones (the ones that are just the eyeshadow themselves, and not the casing as well), then invest in a palette. A 4-slot palette will do for now, and the eyeshadows are cheaper when they aren't in their own cases, a good $3 or so cheaper. Second is Pigments...I can't stress enough how much I love pigments to death. Use them wet, and they're amazingly pigmented; use them dry and they're perfect for everyday use! PLUS, depending on the color, you can use these pigments on more than just your eyes! It can be used in body spray, highlighter for the cheeks, blush, lip color when mixed with gloss, etc! The possiblities are endless! Just remember to read the instructions inside the pigment box to see which colors can't be used on certain body parts!
Also, the Mineralized Eyeshadow Duo is GREAT (I have it in Sea %26amp; Sky)...it's incredibly pigmented, and the colors are incredible. If you want a base for your eyeshadows, the cream color bases they sell are great too...Rubenesque is the most popular color for that, since it goes with every skin-tone. DON'T FORGET about brushes! A great brush can even make $2 eyeshadows look good, so if you don't have them already, get some! lol I suggest the 239 and 217 brushes.
For powder, I suggest 2 items, depending on what you want out of it. Mineralize Skinfinish NATURAL is good for the whole face, like a traditional powder, and it has a natural-looking matte finish. Mineralize Skinfinish (that's the whole name) is a couple dollars more, but they are great for highlighting and adding some sheer sparkle onto your face. It isn't obnoxious sparkle, either. It's gentle, and that's good!
Foundation, with this, I suggest Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15, or Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation. They both give amazing coverage, and they have a great finish to them. I don't have too many of these, but from what I've tried, these two are the way to go. If you don't want a liquid foundation, try a different one, like the Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. It's POWDER, yes, but it's actually foundation. Look it up on the site...it says it too! haha

Eye shadows individually are about 13 dollars.
foundation can range from 20 to 30.
Lip gloss is about 14.
blah blah blah.
Anyway, it does all add up to a high cost at the end.
Last week, I bought 3 eye shadows, and got them in a pallet. I also bought lip gloss, although i think they call it lip glass there, i forgot. That all added up to around 60 dollars, so it is pricey.
Mac has awesome eye-colors.

I would NOT waste your time buying the foundations, however. It is made for the camera's. I.e., bright flashes and hard lights.
Its good coverage however it cakes up VERY easily. It lasts all day and clogs your pores in the process. Its terrible, terrible stuff for your skin. Wearing it every day would probably be worse for your skin than sleeping in a tanning bed every night.
If you don't mind pancake make up or easily caked make up then invest in their foundations.
They're other products however are very very nice. They're colors are more than worth the price.

Yes, they do have some nice colours in eyeshadows, but I do find that some of my drug store makeup which costs less than half the price of one eyeshadow single at MAC applies easier and has the same quality of coverage and colour, if a bit better. I find that MAC is more difficult to apply evenly, although the colour is bright which I like. Would say that MAC is a brand that you get as a christmas present, and not a brand that you spend your own money on.
I prefer going to Sephora. I only buy a few of the brands there, which would be Makeup For Ever (basically like the good version of MAC. Their makeup won't cake, the eyeshadows I think so have more than the MAC ones, there are more variations in colour and the coverage is so nice and blends/applies with ease), Sisheido, Urban Decay and Smashbox. A lot of the brands at sephora can be found at places like The Bay or I guess American department stores, and even at drug stores (I can buy smashbox makeup at shoppers drug mart).
So if you are looking for a makeup store that has a lot of variety and that sells some nicer makeup for aroudnt he same amount, try Sephora.
Also, the girls at sephora actually know how to wear their makeup, unlike all the girls I've seen at every MAC store I've ever been to (ie at MAC they wear too much black eyeliner, cake mascara on, and cake foudnation on. Not really wanting to buy makeup from people who do not even wear the makeup well lol)

But next to other department store brands, its on the lesser end. Still, its my favorite; it wears really well, the colors are great, and i have never bought something that i didn't think was worth the extra money.
while it is pricier than the make-up you can buy in the cosmetics department at, say, Target, it's a better in the end because at MAC, you can have a MAC professional help you determine your shade of make-up and which products are best for your skin type so you aren't messing around with make-up that's wrong for your face. having the help of a professional is key to having natural-looking make-up.

ME!!! I shop the sales at Meijer and Walgreen. You wouldn't believe the size of my makeup collection and for well under $100. I have 11 blushes and 1 bronzer, 4 mascaras, about 35 lip colors, and with eyeshadows? If I counted each individual color, I have probably 250 colors. I usually buy quads or I also have the 8 palettes from Wet n Wild that have 8 colors in each one. I wouldn't trade my collection for the world....even for MAC.How many of you DON'T use M.A.C products?
I don't. There isn't a store around me to buy it at, and it's way too expensive. I stick to buying cheaper stuff from Target and Wal-Mart, it works fine for me. I don't see the point in buying such expensive makeup, it's just not worth it.
I pick my favourit across the offer - foundations from more expensive brands, pencils from really cheap, mascaras from L'Oreal etc. Bourjois rocks for blushers and liners.
However, MAC to me is winner in eyeshadow colours!

My friend called the CCO near us to see how much they were selling the M.A.C. studio sculpt concealer for, and the woman said $19.75. On the M.A.C. website it says studio sculpt concealer is $16.50. MAC is a high concentrate brand that covers up tremendous faults in skin and highlights areas that need to be accentuated. MAC is used for stage makeup and has outrageous colors to choose from. when i worked there i did make overs on men who were drag queens and had to cover of five oclock shadows. since it is a high concentrate and very thick it will last all day. just make sure you get the right one for your skin type. Bare Minerals is very messy. my friend invested in the whole line and complains that since it is all powder its messy all over the bathroom counter. she has alot of vellus hair on her face, (little baby hairs) and powder will set on the hair instead of cover the skin and that is common when using powders anytime. so if you are looking to cover up and last all day then MAC and if you are looking for a light coverage that you may have to touch up through the day the Bare Minerals. My favorite out of all the makeup counters is Estee Lauders makeup for full coverage oily skin, but all their foundations are long lasting. If you buy the starter kit at Sephora - and for ANY reason - you don't like it - Sephora will take it back and give you a full refund. So its totally worth trying at least !!
If you decide to try it - you are making one wise decision. I wish I could have ALL the money back that I WASTED on other make up so I can buy more Bare Minerals!
I also want to add that many of the name brands are coming out with their own versions of Mineral make up now and they are just NOT the same. Bare Minerals was the first and the best. I tried 2 other mineral make ups before I came to Bare Minerals and they did not do the trick at all.

Bare Minerals is very messy. my friend invested in the whole line and complains that since it is all powder its messy all over the bathroom counter. she has alot of vellus hair on her face, (little baby hairs) and powder will set on the hair instead of cover the skin and that is common when using powders anytime. so if you are looking to cover up and last all day then MAC and if you are looking for a light coverage that you may have to touch up through the day the Bare Minerals. My favorite out of all the makeup counters is Estee Lauders makeup for full coverage oily skin, but all their foundations are long lasting. MAC has more eyeshadow colors and lipsticks to choose from than anyone.What foundation do you think works better?M.A.C or Bare Minerals?

I liked the basic kit so much that I bought all of the kits and I am totally hooked.
If you buy the starter kit at Sephora - and for ANY reason - you don't like it - Sephora will take it back and give you a full refund. So its totally worth trying at least !!
If you decide to try it - you are making one wise decision. I wish I could have ALL the money back that I WASTED on other make up so I can buy more Bare Minerals!
I also want to add that many of the name brands are coming out with their own versions of Mineral make up now and they are just NOT the same. Bare Minerals was the first and the best. I tried 2 other mineral make ups before I came to Bare Minerals and they did not do the trick at all.

it really depends on what you prefer and your budget. Personally i think MAC is slightly more pricey and there's alot of trial and error with the foundations, with bare minerals you can mix and match and its easier to choose because there's not much of a variety

I LOVE M.A.C. cosmetics and they've discontinued a lipstick that I miss. It was called ';Bubbles'; and was a shimmery, almost white lipstick. I used to pair it with their ';Plum'; lip liner.
Well my question is if anyone knows of a similar lipstick to Bubbles or if MAC is currently carrying anything like it or will ever carry it again?
I've also heard of companies who can replicate discontinued products if you can provide them with a sample. Has anyone heard of these or where I could find these companies?

They all kinda have the white base to it. I think that MAC concealers are some of the best on the market. I would highly recommend you try their studio finish concealer. the NW shades are perfect for hiding under-eye circles, and the coverage is amazing. I could not love without these.
MAC eye-shadows are great also. the texture is lovely, and the pigmentation is wonderful. they have a great range of colors and finishes to choose from.
I also love MAC fix +. I use it sometimes before I apply my makeup to give it extra staying power, or after I finish to make my skin look more dewy, or on areas where my makeup looks a bit cakey. you can also use it as a mixing medium to apply eye-shadows or pigments wet, or you could use it as a toner. it even helps to refresh the skin in the summer. this product is so multifunctional, and I think it's quite unique and worth purchasing.

Eyeshadow blending brushes are a must have - 224 is my favourite.
Eyeshadows and blushes are of good quality so just pick colours you like and would wear - tempting - carbon - wedge - woodwinked - satin taupe - bisque - embark and brown down are probably the ones I wear most often. I like my browns!

Usually you can find dupes from the LE stuff in the permanent line, so if you sit this collection out and try to find some similar shades in the permanent line, the only thing you'll really miss out on is the packaging (which is cute and all, but not worth $30). If you just lost your job, it probably isn't a good idea to spend money on makeup, at least until you're 100% positive you've got another job lined up.
I didn't see anything that I absolutely couldn't live without, so I'll probably sit this collection out too. The Kitty Couture stuff is really cute, but not worth $90. I think I might try to go back and pick up the BBR stuff that I wasn't sure if I needed or not. Those MSFs are gorgeous.

1) A pigment - these pots last for absolutely ages, come in the most fantastic shades %26amp; most can be used on eyes, lips, cheeks, etc.

2) A shadestick. I have Sharskin (charcoal grey) %26amp; Beige-ing (beige), two of the most universal colours for using as a base to any shadow. I always use a layer of this on primed eyelids, then add whatever shadow I want %26amp; it really brings up their colour.

3) Liquidlast Liner - I know you said you'd tried one %26amp; it still smudged, but this one really doesn't smudge. Comes in loads of great shades (I love Blue Herizon) %26amp; easy to apply.

3. Lipgloss, they have different kinds but all have long staying power.
I basically like most of their product so for the rest I'd probably try the new stuff like the primers and the makeup remover or get yet another lipstick/blusher/eyeshadow/eye kohl etc.
If you can get brushes with your certificate I would definitely get them. They're pricey but last forever. My MAC brushes are at least 10 years old if not more and still just as good as new.
Oh and the powerpoint eyeliner are really good. try that too.
Go to a stand alone store and get a palette and eyeshadow refills - saves you $$. Or get paint pots, fluidlines and pigments. I would wait until next Thursday when the new Naughty Nauticals collection is released, it has some very pretty products!
As for liner, the best is Urban Decay 27/7 liners at Sephora ... they last all day, much better than MAC or Make Up For Ever. Also get the Urban Decay Primer Potion and put it on your lids and lower lash line to make sure your makeup won't smudge or smear all day. I love that stuff!
Here are my top 5-
1. Eyeshadow! The color choices are amazing. I'm personally in love with Heatherette trio 2 and the moment.
2. Shadestick. Everyone goes on and on about UDPP, but I still think Shadesticks are the best eyeshadow bases ever. I use Shimmersand for warm colors and Silverbleu for cools.
3. Powder blush. My favorite is Springsheen. It's a nice goldish pink that works with all skintones.
4. Studio Touchup Stick. My favorite concealer ever.
5. Plushglass. Very shiny and feminine gloss.
Okay, for the eyeliner definitely get MAC Powerpoint it won't budge trust me and it comes in some great shades. MAC Studiofix is amazing. They have great concealers. Zoom lash is great cheap mascara. Their eye shadows rock. Hope this helps. Seriously get the the MAC powerpoint eyeliner you will love it.
fix + spray cause it sets ur makeup and is really good for ur skin, a Pigment because it's multipurpose, so you can use it for other things not just eyeshadow, u can even put a little vanilla pigment into your fix + spray to give your face a glowing look. A Paint Pot or Shadestick to go under your eyeshadow. An Eyeshadow cause they are really good and pigmented. Plushlash Mascara.

3. Lipgloss, they have different kinds but all have long staying power.
I basically like most of their product so for the rest I'd probably try the new stuff like the primers and the makeup remover or get yet another lipstick/blusher/eyeshadow/eye kohl etc.
If you can get brushes with your certificate I would definitely get them. They're pricey but last forever. My MAC brushes are at least 10 years old if not more and still just as good as new.
Oh and the powerpoint eyeliner are really good. try that too.
Go to a stand alone store and get a palette and eyeshadow refills - saves you $$. Or get paint pots, fluidlines and pigments. I would wait until next Thursday when the new Naughty Nauticals collection is released, it has some very pretty products!
As for liner, the best is Urban Decay 27/7 liners at Sephora ... they last all day, much better than MAC or Make Up For Ever. Also get the Urban Decay Primer Potion and put it on your lids and lower lash line to make sure your makeup won't smudge or smear all day. I love that stuff!
Here are my top 5-
1. Eyeshadow! The color choices are amazing. I'm personally in love with Heatherette trio 2 and the moment.
2. Shadestick. Everyone goes on and on about UDPP, but I still think Shadesticks are the best eyeshadow bases ever. I use Shimmersand for warm colors and Silverbleu for cools.
3. Powder blush. My favorite is Springsheen. It's a nice goldish pink that works with all skintones.
4. Studio Touchup Stick. My favorite concealer ever.
5. Plushglass. Very shiny and feminine gloss.
Okay, for the eyeliner definitely get MAC Powerpoint it won't budge trust me and it comes in some great shades. MAC Studiofix is amazing. They have great concealers. Zoom lash is great cheap mascara. Their eye shadows rock. Hope this helps. Seriously get the the MAC powerpoint eyeliner you will love it.
fix + spray cause it sets ur makeup and is really good for ur skin, a Pigment because it's multipurpose, so you can use it for other things not just eyeshadow, u can even put a little vanilla pigment into your fix + spray to give your face a glowing look. A Paint Pot or Shadestick to go under your eyeshadow. An Eyeshadow cause they are really good and pigmented. Plushlash Mascara.

MAC isn't a hair salon. to get it done, you have to buy 50$ worth of makeup. i would make an appointment with them so they are focused on you, cause if you do a walk it and a customer comes, they have to leave you and go to them.Has anyone had a M.A.C. makoever or know any details about it?
Oh it is soo fun. You don't have to buy at least 50 dollars of make up. You tell them what make up you want on aand they do it.
I would suggest you set appointments for all of you all, so that there is no waiting.... I've gotten at leat 4 make-overs and have never had to buy a product, but I do, because they always look so amazing!!! But, this may just depend on your area (I'm in Texas). Just make sure you go in with a clean face and some ideas on how you would want your make-up to look!

Pretty much everything I wear is MAC. I love it. Their eyeshadows go on very smoothly, their foundation covers really well (without looking cakey), their lipsticks last forever, MAC rocks. The best part is that if you save up 6 of your containers, you can get a free lipstick too. I don't use their mascara (I'm stuck on Maybeline Great Lash) but the rest is amazing. The best part about MAC is that they have little trick makeup things, like a primer to put under your eyeshadow to make it stay on longer and primer that you put on under your foundation to reduce the apperance of your pores. I'm sure that other high end makeup lines have that, but MAC gives back to the environment and charities, so that makes you feel like you're doing something too when you buy from them.
I would suggest investing some money in their brushes and applicators too. They really do help with the application process - just be sure you take good care of them. I've had some of mine for years and years and they still work just as well as the first day.

Girl, I LOVE Mac, they have some of the best eyeshadows and lipsticks in a lot of colors. I would recommend them to anyone! If you want to look good, get MAC!
i swear by mac products. to me there eye shadow range is to die for the colurs are vibrant fresh and funky and i love being in style. there blush is also cute with very sparkly shadesand ther foundation has great coverage and lasting power.... christina aguilera and pamela anderson love the make up line so i suppose it cant be all bad

I use the eyeshadow, Shadesticks, Paint, Powerpoint eye pencil, liquid liner, Lipglass, Lipgelee and Lipstick. It's all great, MAC is one of the best cosmetic companies out there.
I LOVE M.A.C. They have great eyeshadows. I also love the lipstick and liners. It's a bit more pricey then what you'll get at a store, but it's worth it.

I'm in love with MAC products! If you check my answers to several other questions in the makeup category I highly recommend MAC products and even list several of my favorites. I've been buying MAC products consistently for years now, and find the quality, selection, value, and to-the-minute-fashionable collections incomparable - no line, department store or drugstore, can beat MAC in those areas. The only other lines I'll occasionally buy from are NARS, Urban Decay, and Shu Uemura. But as great as those lines are, they still can't ';overall'; beat MAC's products for the attributes I listed above.
The products are also superior in blendability and quality of ingredients. My skin has looked so much better, makeup or no makeup, since I've totally stopped using cheap drugstore brands. Everything MAC makes applies so easily - from the way the eyeliners just glide across your lids without tugging, to the way the foundations smooth and blend without leaving any streaks.
Also, the stuff lasts! I've tried too many cheaper brands in the past, spent a decent amount of time to apply my makeup perfectly in the morning only to have everything fade by mid-afternoon, sometimes even by lunchtime! When you properly apply MAC foundation, eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, etc., it's still going to be there, still looking good at the end of the day. When I used to wear cheaper brands I would have to touch my makeup up so many times throughout the day. Not only was it annoying and inconvenient, I also ended up with a lot more product ';gunked up'; on my face at the end of the day than needed. MAC products may be more expensive, but you use less to get the same color payoff and you have to touch up a lot less frequently. So it may seem like you're spending more money, but in many cases you save money because an eyeshadow, blush or foundation from MAC is going to last so much longer than a cheaper drugstore equivalent, because you don't need to use so much each time you use it.
I use or have used pretty much all of their products at some point, except the blushcreams, just because I'm not a fan of cream blush. Here's a list of my most recommended MAC products, and just for the record I'm light skinned (currently tan) with combination skin. I have black (dyed) hair and blue eyes. I don't have many breakouts anymore (I'm 26), but I do still have some oiliness in my t-zone. Now on to my favs list!
1. Foundation - Studio Fix powder foundation is my favorite. It applies like a powder (because it is a powder) but still covers like a liquid or cream foundation. It's also very easy to control the level of coverage desired.
2. Powder - Blot powder is awesome! I always carry a compact with me but they have a loose version as well. Just a light dusting over your oily areas keeps you shine free for hours.
3. Concealer - all the concealers MAC makes are good, I actually use two different kinds. I use Select Moisturecover for my under eye area and Studio Stick for any areas on my face that need extra coverage. Being younger and probably having much better skin that I do, you probably only need one concealer. Go with Studio Stick.
4. Blush - Sheertone Shimmer Powder Blushes are my favorite. Peachykeen %26amp; Plum Foolery are my staples, but I have multiple others for more selective looks. But you can use either Peachykeen or Plum Foolery with just about any look.
5. Eyeshadow - the Veluxe Pearls are my favorite! There's 24 different Veluxe Pearl shades and they're all amazing - gorgeous shimmery metallic color. Other favorite MAC shadows are Vex, Naked Lunch, Shroom and Nylon - all lighter colors used for highlighting the browbone or for a sheer all over eye wash (from lashline to browbone) when you're going for a lighter look.
6. Eyeliners - Eye Kohls are great, Hyacinth, Phone Number and Teddy are my favorites. The Powerpoints are good too, but the Eye Kohls are easier to work with and have a little more shimmer. I wouldn't recommend the liquid liners until you are really experienced with liquid liner and can be really steady with your hand. In that case I say go buy a cheap black liner and practice, practice, practice, but don't wear it outside of the house until you can really apply it smoothly. Otherwise it never looks right. But once you master the technique MAC's Fluidlines are Liquidlast liners are great. The Fluidlines last (on your eyes) forever!
7. Mascara - Fibre Rich Lash in All Black is my favorite for super lush lashes.
8. Lipstick - I don't wear lipstick as often as I do Lipglass, and most of the MAC lipsticks I have are from the Back to MAC program. With Back to MAC you can turn in 6 empty MAC containers and you get to pick out any of their lipsticks (except the Viva Glams and the new promo collection lipsticks) for free! I've gotten quite a few lipsticks that way. Basically any main packaging (the plastic eyeshadow and blush containers, old foundation compacts or bottles, the empty lipstick tube, the old mascara tube, etc) will count for Back to MAC. But anyway the lipsticks I do have are great. Lipstick is such a personal thing and there are so many colors out there, but as far as quality of MAC lipstick goes it's excellent.
9. Lipliner - MAC lipliners are awesome. The Cremesticks are especially nice and smooth to apply but the regular pencil liners are great too. They all apply very smoothly, the colors wear very evenly and never get clumpy. I don't use lipliner for everyday, but I do have quite a few for special occasions or when I want a more defined lip look. But I think you can still get away with just Lipglass on its own.
10. Lipglass - love it! The Lustreglasses are amazing as well! Favorite Lipglasses are Viva Glam V, Enchantress, and Nymphette. I also have several favorites that came from the limited edition collections. Favorite Lustreglasses are Spring Bean and Palatial. They go on a LOT sheerer than they look in the tube.
11. Brushes - Excellent. I can't live without 187, 217, 219, and 222. I own many others but those are the ones that are really unique and give amazing results that can't compare to any other brushes I've found. The other brushes are excellent too. I would suggest waiting until Christmas time and picking up one of the special holiday brush sets MAC comes out with then, they usually have all of the essentials and are much cheaper than buying the same brushes individually. Also on Friday (this Friday July 14) for its annual summer anniversary Nordstrom will come out with two different limited edition brush sets similar to the holiday sets. You can check them out at www.nordstrom.com as well as the rest of the limited edition collection that goes with the brushes. If you have a Nordstrom nearby or can order them online, I would highly suggest picking up those sets if you can!
12. Primers - MAC's work well (I have the face and eye primer), but I don't find myself using them on a daily basis. This is one area where another brand's product is superior - Urban Decay's Potion eyeshadow primer is a necessity if you want to wear some of the brighter more intense colors such as most of MAC's Veluxe Pearls. Even for younger women I highly suggest this product. It makes eyeshadow colors so much more vivid and last an amazingly long time.
On last thing I want to mention about MAC face products - foundation, powders, and concealers. They come in several color categories, mostly categorized as NW or NC. This can be very confusing when you first start buying their products. Normally you associate W with ';warm'; and C with ';cool'; but it's kind of the opposite with MAC as they go with the traditional color wheel when it comes to labeling their face makeup colors. Anyway to save a lengthy explanation let me just highly suggest that you always go with NC products. These have more of a yellow base which is much more flattering to any skin color than a pink base, which is what the NW products have. This is also pretty much the only area I would advise going against what a MAC artist will tell you to buy - I suggest only buying NC products, never an NW product. They may tell you to go with an NW for your concealer and an NC for your foundation, but I highly suggest choosing all of your MAC face products in the NC category, but of course choose the right depth of color. They have super light to super dark and every depth in between in both categories, but trust me - NC is going to be more flattering no matter whether you are light, medium or dark skinned.
And there you go! I love MAC products and find the majority to be amazing. Even if you are younger and on a budget I would still suggest picking up some MAC products whenever you can, especially the products you find yourself using on a daily basis, and like I said the foundations %26amp; eyeshadows are incomparably amazing! They have super light to super dark and every depth in between in both categories, but trust me - NC is going to be more flattering no matter whether you are light, medium or dark skinned.
And there you go! I love MAC products and find the majority to be amazing. Even if you are younger and on a budget I would still suggest picking up some MAC products whenever you can, especially the products you find yourself using on a daily basis, and like I said the foundations %26amp; eyeshadows are incomparably amazing! You can wear it as a crease color or as an eyeliner. If you want a smokey eye look you can apply it lightly to your lid and blend it into the crease then do a wash of a lighter color over it to blend it.
Use it to shade your lid's so it gives them dimension.
Put your base color on first, then shade it with the black,open your eye as you reguarly would, and get your make up brush and do windshield wipper movents on the crease of your eyelid so you can get that sultry shaded look, then a lighter color for your eye brow bone ! Good luck.

M.A.C make up help. im really just a beginer so help from u guys woul be very nice.?
i just bought COUNTERPARTS from M.A.C. its a light pink and a glimmery dark green color. 1st off i can never get eyeshwdow to last how can i make it last and be visible. i also have really big eyes and a darker olive color and blk eyeshadow just looks bad . what do i do for a more dramatic look without looking like a drag queen.M.A.C make up help. im really just a beginer so help from u guys woul be very nice.?

Choose a MAC eyeshadow base like paint or paint pots that is similar to your skin tone... this way it won't look like it's overdone or too dramatic.
Also, make up isn't just about the products, it's HOW you apply it that makes the difference. Sometimes using just one colour on your lids isn't good enough because it doesn't help define your features. Go on youtube and search for make up tutorials so you get the hang of how to apply the eyeshadow so it fits your eyes. Use lighter colours if dark colours make you look too drag-queenish. Define your crease using a soft brown or matte brown instead of black or insanely shimmer colours. You may have to use different brushes to achieve a desired effect. I love MAC brushes, but I also know that they aren't the most affordable items on earth. If you can't afford them, go to Sephora or whatever cheaper make up store you have around you and see if they have cheap brushes for you to experiment with. Paint brushes artists' use are used by some people for make up as well - although I personally find them to be not as soft as proper make up brushes, although I must admit that paint brushes are cheap!

M.A.C. has both an eye primer that would make eyeshadow last longer, and they also have a product called fix+ which can be sprayed on after makeup and helps set it. You can also use fix+ to spray on brushes for eyeshadow to make it more visible. Blending is what can make it most natural.loan

studio finish gives fuller coverage. Studio sculpt is more of a sheer light weight coverage. If you have a sephora near you or shop on the web check out make up for ever products. I have their full coverage concealer and it covers everything! They also have one called lift concealer that is especially for brightening under the eyes.What M路A路C concealer is Better?
I realy like the body shop concealer pencil its creamy and covers all redness well so it should work for you. But can i just say I dont use concealer under my eyes coz i just think it makes them look darker and more obvious, I just use a perfect match liquid foundation using a sponge.and blend bend blend!
MAC Studio Fix is really good. i have the powder, and it is like a foundation, but good for pimples and dark circles.

studio finish gives fuller coverage. Studio sculpt is more of a sheer light weight coverage. If you have a sephora near you or shop on the web check out make up for ever products. I have their full coverage concealer and it covers everything! They also have one called lift concealer that is especially for brightening under the eyes.What M路A路C concealer is Better?
I realy like the body shop concealer pencil its creamy and covers all redness well so it should work for you. But can i just say I dont use concealer under my eyes coz i just think it makes them look darker and more obvious, I just use a perfect match liquid foundation using a sponge.and blend bend blend!
MAC Studio Fix is really good. i have the powder, and it is like a foundation, but good for pimples and dark circles.

Well I'm not sure about the fish scales, that would probably be the best thing they put in their overpriced jar of synthetic crap! They use harsh chemicals in their products that are linked to cancers, reproductive problems etc... Don't believe me? Check out Mac and your other favorite brands at www.cosmeticsdatabase.com. I am a professional makeup artistand I would never use Mac, Chanel, Dior or any of those brands on my clientel. Their products are far to inferior to the class of my clientel. I'm not being snooty, I'm trying to make you aware if you read their ingredients it is SCARY what is in their products! And its nothing worth any value at all. It should be sold for $.50. You can get a much better high quality product going with a natural/organic based skin care company. At least you would be getting your moneys worth in quality.

If you have oily skin, you definitely will want the oil control lotion and the studio fix powder plus. It made my skin GREAT! It looks so much better.
For dry skin, you'll want to ask for some kind of moisturizer that gives your skin a great glow and if you want, studio fix fluid foundation.
The best mascara they have there is PlushLash which is only about $12.00.
They have a HUGE variety of eyeshadows, eyeliners, and brushes, but they can tell you what is good for your eyes. I reccommend the Paint Pot which really stops eyeshadow or liner from creasing.

A MAC freelance makeup artist will be very helpful in choosing which colors and products most compliment your skintone.
I love their Fix + Spray.
I find it helps my makeup stay on longer, works as a mixing medium (when you want to use eyeshadow wet/as a liner), refreshes my face, and I use it on my hair before I brush it, after gym class to tame frizzies.
I also LOVE their Liquidlast!
This eyeliner stays PUT. In an experiment, it stayed on for 3 days max. I suggest you get one in black (point black), and in a nuetral/peach color (i forget the name?), so you can use this as an eyeshadow base to help your eyeshadow stay on longer.
I have to say their eyeshadows are the best products there!
I love buying eyeshadows from MAC, they have so many different colors to choose from and they last a long time too.
